Adrian McDonald
President, EMEA

Adrian is the President, EMEA at EMC and is responsible for the company’s overall revenue generation, management and business strategy in the region.

Based at EMC's UK & Ireland headquarters in Brentford, Middlesex, Adrian is also charged with ensuring that EMC's Sales, Technology Solutions, Customer Service, and Partner/Alliance groups understand and communicate the unique value that EMC brings to its customers and business partners. Adrian previously oversaw EMC's EMEA-North region, before assuming responsibility for all of EMEA in July 2012. From 2003 to 2011, Adrian served as Senior Vice-President & General Manager for EMC's business in the UK & Ireland, a period of significant growth in the company’s most mature international market when it became firmly established as a key contributor to EMC's revenues. His tenure was also characterised by a relentless focus on innovation, notably with a successful services- and solutions-led agenda which Adrian introduced and which continues to underpin the company's drive for market-share capture.

Since joining EMC in 1988, Adrian has held a variety of US-based, international and global positions at EMC. During the 1990s, Adrian helped to establish and then run many of EMC's international subsidiaries. After successfully running individual country operations, in 2000 Adrian was appointed Vice-President and took control of EMC's Germany, East Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Adrian holds a BA Honours degree in History and Politics from Warwick University and is an alumni of Columbia Business School.

 
Mohammed Amin
Senior Vice President and Regional Manager Turkey, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Middle East

Mohammed, a 25-year veteran of the IT industry, has driven exponential growth in the Middle East region during his almost 14 year-tenure with EMC expanding his responsibility to include Eastern Europe in 2012. Under his leadership, EMC has successfully driven its mission to help customers accelerate their journey to the cloud and capitalize on the massive opportunity that cloud and big data represent. His relentless focus on excellence in customer service and on being an effective supporter of the channel community has led EMC grow its regional market share and acquire key regional customers in a number of industry sectors

 
Habib Mahakian
Vice President, Gulf and Pakistan

Habib is the Vice President for EMC’s Gulf & Pakistan Area and is based out of Dubai, UAE. Habib's current role is to continue developing and overseeing EMC's expanding presence in the region through leveraging a large team of sales and technology professionals while ensuring that EMC meets customer's expectations and IT Transformation demands. Habib also helps partners further develop their businesses offerings while ensuring that EMC maintains its reach and sustains its leadership position.

Habib started with EMC 15 years ago as the Country Manager in KSA, then moved to manage the Telecom & Media Sectors in the Middle East for 3 years before being promoted to manage EMC’s North Gulf in 2010, a role he led for 3 years prior to his current position as Regional General Manager for Gulf and Pakistan. Habib possesses over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has spent the majority of his time providing IT solutions to his customers in the Gulf & the rest of the Middle East.

Elliott Young
Director of Transformation Consulting EMEA, EMC Global Services

Elliott Young is responsible for leading EMC's Transformation Consulting organization across EMEA. Every day Elliott and his teams provide EMC customers with strategic guidance on how to transform IT to realize the business benefits of Cloud Computing and Big Data. With over 20 years experience in the IT industry, as an architect and a consultant, across financial services, telecommunications, oil and gas verticals, Elliott has both experienced and lived IT Transformation for over two decades. His expertise lies in finding the right strategy and plan for addressing challenges associated with ITaaS, Big Data, IaaS, operating organizational model redesign, Third Platform and enterprise architecture. Elliott’s ability to pay particular attention to the overall impact on organizational goals helps IT deliver positive business outcome such as increasing revenues, reducing costs, driving agility, reducing time to market and minimising risks.

 
Megha Kumar
Head of Software Research and Advisory IDC META

Megha heads the software research and advisory practice at IDC Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. She joined IDC in 2007 and has since undertaken various research and consulting engagements for both global and regional ICT firms, as well as for public sector organizations. She regularly provides insights on market dynamics, vendor strategies, and end-user trends across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. As a research manager, she has been responsible for managing and delivering projects across technology areas such as information security, storage, enterprise applications, analytics, Big Data, and digital transformation, and she frequently engages with the vendor community to advise on market and competitive strategies.

 
Rick Brunner

Fifteen + years of experience architecting business continuity, server and storage virtualization solutions to meet changing IT infrastructure needs in a continuous changing business climate. Recognized as technical expert and knowledge resource in several technical domains, Rick developed a consistent record of tackling the most challenging technical problems with innovative solutions. These experiences as well as others have allowed the development of a broad scope of knowledge and experience in enterprise systems implementation.

 
Russell Poole
Sr. Director EMEA, Primary Storage Sales

I have spent 16 exciting years at EMC in a variety of challenging and successful roles.

I currently have the privilege of heading up our Primary Storage business across EMEA. Whilst all the component parts of our Primary Storage portfolio are important, the strategic sales focus is in driving our Flash platforms to accelerated growth in 2016 and beyond. I have a great team of sales and presales professionals driving that agenda across EMEA.

My mantra is to provide a clear strategic vision to my customers, partners and internal teams, and to deliver to that vision through solid execution.

 
Steven J. Frantzen
Senior Vice President, EMEA and MD CEMA Region, IDC

Steven is a long-time specialist on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) markets of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with a particular focus on emerging markets. As Senior Vice President for Research, Steven oversees the planning and execution of IDC's standard research programs and consulting across some 74 countries in Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Africa.

 
Tom O’Reilly
CTO, EMEA at VCE

Tom is responsible for the technology strategy of VCE across the region, working with counterparts globally, to ensure that customers can best take advantage of the benefits of converged and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, as well as engineered solutions such as Enterprise Hybrid Cloud, Native Hybrid Cloud and Business Data Lakes. Tom has more than 15 years of IT experience, working in management roles throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East. Tom has also worked for leading companies across industries including hospitality, transportation, IT consulting, and oil & gas. He currently lives in Dubai, UAE.

 
Waseq Ahsan
Director IT Executive Programs, IDC Middle East, Africa and Turkey

Waseq leads IDC's IT Executive Programs for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey region. In this position he leverages the breadth of IDC research programs to offer advice to enterprise IT organizations and help time-constrained senior executives make more effective technology decisions. He brings over 20 years of business and technology experience to this role, having spent most of his career serving as a strategic advisor and consultant to large enterprise clients. He previously worked as a Technical Director at Al Tayer Group and as a Technology Director for Logica in the Middle East and Africa.
